The most recent blaze broke out on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the top floor of Ultimate Plaza in the Mandillas area of the market.

There was however no casualty from the incident and traders were reportedly able to remove their goods from the building before the fire spread.

A similar outbreak in the market on September 3 left many dead and several other injured.
