The INSU President, Mr. Adu Olalekan, said in a statement on Thursday that the report was fabricated by Ayefele’s publicist, Mr. David Ajiboye, to paint the town in bad light.
The report, according to Olalekan, is a figment of Ajiboye’s imagination.
Some miscreants were alleged to have beaten up the musician at the burial of Mrs. Ebunoluwa Odumakinde in Ijare on October 3, 2015 where he was billed to perform.
But Olalekan said the report was a mere tissue of lies to castigate the hard-earned reputation and the good image of the town.
Urging Nigerians to disregard the report, the INSU president recalled that many musicians had, on many occasions, performed in the town and they were not harassed by anybody let alone attacked.
